Sowerby Bridge, as viewed from close to Wainhouse Tower, on the hill to the east of the town.
On the upper left can be seen the village of Sowerby, which existed long before the town was built. The large mass of white bulidings is the estate of council houses. Above these the village of Hubberton can be seen as a long row of buildings. The hill dominating the top of the photograph is Crow Hill, capped with heather, and an excellent afternoons walk with superb views.
